Halloween is the perfect time to indulge in some delicious desserts. These treats will have your family and friends visiting you from miles around. So, pull out your apron, fire up your ovens and get ready to serve some…

Here are my top 5 favorite Halloween desserts that everyone will love to eat:

1. Caramel Apples

Caramel apples are one of my favorite Halloween treats. Who doesn’t love the combination of sweet caramel, gooey melted chocolate, and tart apple? These caramel apple desserts are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Moreover, they’re also great for parties because they can be made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve them.

If you love caramel apples as much as I do, this recipe will become your new favorite!

Ingredients

  • 8 large tart apples
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 8 wooden chopsticks for handles
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil. Using a slotted spoon, dip the apples in the boiling water for a few seconds, then place them on paper towels to dry and remove any wax from the peels. Let the apples cool completely before moving on, about 30 minutes.
  2. Stick the wooden sticks through the apples’ cores before they cool so you can use them as handles.
  3. To make the caramel: Combine brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan. Bring these ingredients to a boil on medium-high heat; stir constantly. Once it reaches 248 degrees Fahrenheit (120 degrees Celsius), remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. To coat the apples, dip them into the hot caramel and sprinkle them with any desired toppings. Additionally, let the caramel apples cool for about an hour on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2. Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

It’s a double layer of dessert enjoyment! A graham cracker crust is topped with a layer of light and fluffy cream cheese, spiced pumpkin pudding, and whipped topping.

Additionally, this easy, no-bake pie is a delicious treat for the holidays, or anytime you’re craving something sweet.

Ingredients

  • Milk
  • Spices
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Cream Cheese
  • Sugar
  • Pie Crust
  • Whipped Toppings
  • Pudding Mix

Instructions

  1. To make the top layer, combine the cold milk, pumpkin puree, and pudding mix in a bowl. Add cinnamon, ginger, and cloves and whisk until well combined. Let it sit until thickened.
  2. To make the bottom layer, beat together cream cheese and sugar. Then fold in whipped topping.
  3. To put together the pie, spread the cream cheese mixture in an even layer on the graham cracker crust. Spread the pumpkin mixture on top, then refrigerate until set.

3. Pumpkin Brownies

Spice up your brownie game with these pumpkin brownies! They’re made with two batter recipes — chocolate and a pumpkin-nut — that are swirled together. Additionally, you can either warm one up for tonight’s dessert or wrap it up for tomorrow’s lunchtime treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 F and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together sugar, melted butter, and vanilla. Add one egg at a time to the medium bowl holding the flour mixture. Stir well after each addition. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter and stir until evenly moistened. Return half of the batter to the medium bowl.
  4. In one bowl, stir together chocolate chips and cocoa. In the second bowl, stir together pumpkin puree, walnuts, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  5. Spread half of the chocolate batter in the pan and then spread half of the pumpkin batter over it. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Use a knife or a small spatula to gently swirl the layers together, creating a marbled appearance. Put a toothpick in the center of your batter.
  6. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven until they are cooked through. Also, ensure that the toothpick you put into the center comes out clean; It might take around 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Let cool in pan before cutting into 16 squares.

4. Soft Pumpkin Cookies

This is one of my favorite recipes for Halloween and fall overall. The soft and gooey pumpkin cookies tend to melt into your mouth, so beware! Moreover, you might fall in love with them.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. Combine the sugar, butter, and egg. Stir in the vanilla, pumpkin, and walnuts.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; stir well.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. That’s pretty much it!

Conclusion

These two delicacies could not go any better together. Halloween and desserts are already a match made in heaven, but when you combine the two, well, that is when things get really tasty.

Therefore, if you’re planning a Halloween party or just want to spook up your Halloween night, then these mouth-watering desserts will help you with your plans.
