Cafe Bombon is a popular coffee drink in Valencia, Spain. It spread gradually to the rest of the country and may have been recreated and modified to suit European taste buds. This recipe for “Kopi Susu Panas” or “Kafe Ron” has already been around for decades in Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore and is very popular in “mamak” stalls or “kopitiams.”

A café bombón, however, uses espresso served with sweetened condensed milk in a 1:1 ratio—the Asian version, on the other hand, uses ground coffee and sweetened condensed milk at the same ratio.

To make this coffee, one has to pour condensed milk over an espresso. The glass used for this drink is full of milk. The espresso is added slowly to sink underneath it, creating two contrasting bands of contrasting color.

As mentioned above, all you need are two ingredients; espresso and sweetened condensed milk.
