Instructions

  • Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
  • Add about 2 tablespoons of hot water (around 175°F / 80°C) to the matcha powder
  • Whisk vigorously until the matcha forms a smooth, frothy mixture
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes, about 3/4 of the way full
  • Pour the matcha mixture into the glass over the ice
  • Pour 1 cup of milk (or your preferred plant-based milk) into the glass and stir gently to combine
  • Add 1 teaspoon of sweetener, such as honey or sugar, and stir until dissolved.
