Cuisine American
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl (or using a double boiler), melt the butter and chopped chocolate together until smooth. Stir well.
Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar while the mixture is still warm until glossy.
Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition until fully combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Do not overmix.
Fold in chocolate chips for extra fudginess.
Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Allow brownies to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy with a glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
